Safe Classroom solution provides emergency alerting communication system

MCHENRY, IL – In support of making every staff member, teacher and student safer at their schools, Follett today announced it is partnering with CrisisGo to sponsor the release of their Safe Classroom product to PreK-12 Schools nationwide free of charge.

Supported by the School Superintendents Association (AASA), Safe Classroom is an emergency alert crisis management application for PreK-12 schools that enables building staff to send an audible alert, enable two-way communications to every computer or mobile device in the school, and automatically escalates to the appropriate first responders. CrisisGo’s customer base includes more than 14,000 schools and organizations, including large districts such as Boston Public Schools, and its Safe Classroom product is currently in more than 6,000 buildings as part of an arrangement with the AASA.

“CrisisGo is excited to partner with Follett to provide a free safety alerting and communication tool to their customers across the country,” said Bill Reynolds, co-founder of CrisisGo. “Safe Classroom offers school districts mobile and desktop technology that gives staff instant lockdown alerts and enhances two-way communications during live crisis events. Rolling out Safe Classroom is easy with mass deployment to all computers and takes minimal IT and administration staff to deploy.”

Nader Qaimari said it is time to get Safe Classroom in every school across America.

“It’s the unfortunate reality we live in but it’s incumbent to do everything we can to protect schools and classrooms across America,” said Qaimari, President, Follett School Solutions. “Follett is proud to partner with Bill and his team at CrisisGo, which has created a state-of-the-art emergency alerting and communication system.”
