We understand that empowering educators begins with getting you the materials you need as quickly as possible. Maintaining an industry-leading inventory means we’re able to offer a wide variety of in-stock titles, allowing us to get you the books you need for your classroom or library faster so you can continue to teach and inspire. We currently stock more than 370,000 titles (4.5 million units), including over 75,000 FollettBound titles. When you place an order, our Service Center team gets to work immediately, gathering in-stock titles that will leave our service center within five business days on average. 

Truly Personalized Customer Experience

Education is not a one-size-fits-all profession. We recognize that every teacher, librarian, and administrator has specialized, unique needs, and that the requirements of one school or district are almost always different from those of another. This is why every Follett customer is assigned a dedicated Customer Service Representative to assist them. Some situations call for more than a help desk, and our Customer Service Reps are here to provide you with insight and perspective gained from knowing your specific needs. We’re proud to say that the average tenure of our Customer Service Reps is 13 years!

Book Processing Pros

You can expect your processed order to arrive at your institution ready to go from box to shelf – tagged, barcoded, and suitable for immediate circulation. The Follett Book Processing Team is composed of more than 150 active processors with a collective total of more than 1,000 years of experience. On average, each of them produces a fully processed library book every 60 seconds! Getting books shelf-ready is no quick task, but this is precisely where our team excels.

First-Class Cataloging 

We understand that proper cataloging is a crucial component of building and maintaining a library collection. As many educators can attest, sometimes information that comes from publishers is subject to change. Follett catalogers practice piece-in-hand cataloging to ensure that the materials you order match up 1:1 with the appropriate MARC records. Our Cataloging Team includes degreed librarians who are attuned to the greater world of cataloging outside of Follett, ensuring that current best practices are always applied. 

Ever-Expanding Selection

In order to meet the evolving needs of educators and students, we are always growing. We’re constantly refining our inventory process, using analytics to be aware of trends and demand, in order to continue to offer you the best selection possible.
