Follett Launches API Partner Program

BY DOUG THOMPSON

Value enhancement for current, prospective Destiny and Aspen customers

Follett has launched a partner program that will make it easy for its Follett Destiny® and Follett Aspen® SIS customers to implement time- and cost-saving integrations and streamline data exchange with their existing vendors. The API (Application Programming Interface) Partner Program will allow Follett to help customers extend and enhance the capabilities of their Follett Destiny® and Follett Aspen® SIS solutions and take full advantage of Follett’s open APIs via the company’s growing partner portfolio.

“We see the API Partner Program as a valuable enhancement for current and prospective customers as it enables seamless high-value integrations with vendors they already know and trust to streamline data management and transfer, and maximize operational efficiency,” said George Gatsis, Senior Vice President of Technology Platforms, Follett School Solutions. “Our expectation, too, is that our customers will suggest new API partners for us to connect with to further improve their efficiency.”

Used in more than 60 percent of U.S. public schools, Destiny is Follett’s market-leading platform for library management, resource management, and digital content. Follett Aspen® Student Information System is a scalable, flexible SIS that comprehensively manages student data, keeps parents informed and much more.

Benefits of the API Partner Program for partners include test-server access, technical support, and marketing and sales opportunities.
