Seasonal design theme with emojis highlights elementary school offerings
MCHENRY, IL – Although winter is hanging tough in many parts of the country, Follett Book Fairs are already in full bloom for spring. With a seasonal design theme using emojis to highlight the new spring collection, Follett Book Fairs have a strong lineup of titles to delight kids, parents, and educators from the industry’s top publishers.
The Follett spring book fairs boast the latest picture books, chapter books, and best-selling nonfiction titles, as well as the most sought-after fiction and graphic novels. Everything from Sophie Johnson’s Unicorn Expert to entertainer John Cena’s Elbow Grease to I Am Not a Cereal Box: 10 Exciting Things to Make with Cereal Boxes are readily available.
“There’s truly something for everyone with our customizable tabletop options and high-interest categories, such as craft books, do-it-yourself titles, sports, movie tie-ins, and more,” said Tony Hopkins, Senior Vice President, Follett Book Fairs. “We’ve had great fun putting together our spring promotional video by using emojis to further engage young readers, LOL!” (link to video)
“As important as the content of the assortment is, we are especially careful about the affordability of the titles,” Hopkins continued. “That’s why 80 percent of our title mix is in paperback. We want every student to be able to participate in the fair.”
Follett Book Fairs continues its exclusive gift-with-purchase program whereby students receive a free backpack pin with the purchase of any Spy School series title. New this season, select fairs will be treated to a collection of hand-selected titles curated by Newbery Award-winning author Kwame Alexander. The #AllBooksForAllKids collection is part of a joint literacy campaign between Follett and Alexander to ensure that students are exposed to a wide range of books that take them beyond their own experiences and background.
Follett Book Fairs, in their fourth season, provide product offerings for elementary schools and middle schools. Because of existing partnerships with thousands of publishers, Follett Book Fairs offer a vast selection of books, kindergarten through eighth grade.
School librarians, Parent Teacher Organizations and Parent Teacher Associations interested in hosting a Follett Book Fair should visit the website (www.FollettBookFairs.com).
