1 The original BryteWave K-12 app for Kindle was approved for 2nd generation Kindle Fire HD and HDX devices. Follett has submitted updates to the BryteWave K-12 app to Amazon that would add support for 3rd and 4th generation Kindle Fire HD devices and 3rd and 4th generation Kindle Fire HDX devices. While Amazon has approved this new version of the BryteWave K-12 app, they still only allow access to users of 2nd generation Kindle Fire HDs. We continue to work with Amazon to rectify this issue and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Until the BryteWave K-12 app is made available for all supported Kindle Fire HD devices in the Amazon App Store, Follett Technical Support is able to provide a file and instructions for installing the BryteWave K-12 app through a process called “side-loading”. This will allow users of the Kindle Fire HD (2nd, 3rd and 4th generation) and Kindle Fire HDX (3rd and 4th generation) to install and use our app.

Please contact Technical Support at 888 511-5114, option 3 for Technical Support and choose option 3 for Follett Shelf Technical Support for details.
